contact with: > Reinhard Balzer The museum is situated near the federal road B 108 between Teterow and Laage. The Thünen-Museum-Tellow is a nearly complete Mecklenburg farm with a manor house and a stable area. The museum preserves the heritage of Johann Heinrich von Thünen (1783-1850), one of the greatest German economists and agrarian politicians of the 19th century. Nine buildings and 20 hectares of land belong to the museum today. During the last years we improved especially the possibilities for meetings and events on the estate. Specials:The museum tries to connect preserving the heritage of Thünen withtouristic and cultural activities. So we are able to offer the guests a lot of possibilities for holding meetings and parties. We’ve got a barn with about 450 seats, a storage with 150 seats, the Thünen-Pogge-Meeting-Hall with 80 seats and the Fritz-Reuter-Room with about 15 seats. Moreover the guests can use a youth meeting hall, a guest house and three holiday apartments if they would like to stay the night here.Target group/s:The Thünen-Museum-Tellow is for several groups:
Offers:A lot of activities are possible if there is time before or after the meeting. For example the guests can bake their own bread in the oven outside. Till baking the bread they have a look into the new farmers house called “Schildt”, where they get an insight of living conditions of new farmers after World War II. In the kitchen the guests can taste waffles – baken on the old stofe. After the tour around the museum the guests could get an chara-banc tour around the park or they can have cake and coffee in the estate market.> Online-Request |
